Calendar subscription
Everything you follow — upcoming episodes, movie releases, game releases —
is available as a standard iCalendar (.ics) feed you can subscribe to from
any calendar app. Each release appears as an all-day event, so you get your
calendar app’s native reminders and widgets for free.
Get your feed URL
Section titled “Get your feed URL”Open Settings in Orion and copy the URL under Calendar subscription. It looks like:
https://orionmedia.app/api/calendar.ics?token=<your-api-token>The token in the URL is your personal API token — the feed shows your releases and nobody else’s. Treat the URL like a password.
Google Calendar
Section titled “Google Calendar”- Open Google Calendar on the web.
- Next to Other calendars, click + → From URL.
- Paste your feed URL and click Add calendar.
Google refreshes subscribed calendars on its own schedule (typically every 12–24 hours), and the calendar syncs to the Google Calendar app — including its Android home-screen widget.
Apple Calendar
Section titled “Apple Calendar”- macOS: File → New Calendar Subscription, paste the URL.
- iPhone/iPad: Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Subscribed Calendar, paste the URL.
If the feed stops updating
Section titled “If the feed stops updating”Regenerating your API token (Settings → Regenerate token) invalidates the old feed URL. Copy the new URL from Settings and update your calendar subscription.
